WILMINGTON – A group of students in the college’s Environmental Science program got to visit the summit of an Adirondack High Peak as part of a class trip recently.

Students in instructor Brian McAllister’s BIO 160/Adirondack Biology class traveled to Whiteface Mountain to learn about alpine vegetation and tree growth patterns with elevation.

The field trip provided an amazing opportunity for the group to explore this unique ecosystem just a short drive from our Saranac Lake campus.

Hands-on, in-the-field learning is a big part of the Environmental Science program at the college. For more information, visit www.nccc.edu/environmental-science.
