Registration open for Summer Pottery Classes

July 13, 2026

SARANAC LAKE — North Country Community College is inviting community members to get creative this summer with its non-credit pottery classes at the college's Saranac Lake campus.

Designed for both beginners and intermediate students, the six-week course introduces participants to the art of pottery, from shaping a first bowl to glazing a finished piece. Students will have the opportunity to develop hand-building and wheel-throwing skills while creating functional and artistic ceramic work in a supportive studio environment.

Classes will be held Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m., Aug. 4 through Sept. 10, in the Pottery Studio on the college's Saranac Lake campus. The cost is $240, and all materials are included.

Whether trying pottery for the first time or building on existing experience, participants will receive hands-on instruction while exploring the creative process from raw clay to finished pottery.

Registration is now open via the college's Community Education page. For more information contact Elaine Taylor-Wilde at etaylor@nccc.edu
