Op-Ed: The Best Decision Ever

To mark Community College Month, North Country President Joe Keegan penned this recent op-ed about how community colleges benefit our students and communities. Since it was founded in 1967, NCCC has educated thousands of students who have attended classes, earned degrees, and went on to establish careers, raise families, serve their communities and contribute to the well-being of the region and beyond.
Environmental Science class marks Earth Day

Students in Brian McAllister's Environmental Science class took on an Earth Day project on Tuesday, planting several dozen plants donated by former science department chair Dr. Judy Steinberg outside the Saranac Lake campus library.
Virtual Presentation on the 'Twinkie Defense'

The college is hosting a virtual presentation and Q and A with Dr. Jerrod Brown titled "A Neurocriminological and Nutritional Neuroscience Exploration of the 'Twinkie Defense': A Look Back and Lessons Learned." This program will take place April 14 from noon to 12:30 pm
New Digital Radiography system added to RadTech lab

Students in our Radiologic Technology program will benefit from a significant technology upgrade. The program's Radiology Lab, located on the Saranac Lake campus, was recently updated with the college's first-ever digital radiography (DR) system.
Students focus on service during Alternative Spring Break

A group of North Country Community College students spent their spring break in Utah volunteering at an animal shelter. This year's "Alternative" Spring Break trip took place the last week of March at the Best Friends Animal Sanctuary in Kanab, Utah.
