SARANAC LAKE -- The North Country Community College Men’s Basketball team wrapped up its regular season schedule this past weekend with a 24–3 overall record, marking one of the most successful seasons in program history.

With a win over Clinton Community College on Saturday, the Saints secured the Mountain Valley Conference Regular Season Championship for the first time ever, adding another milestone to an already remarkable year.

“I am proud of the hard work and dedication shown by Coach Jerrad Dumont, his coaching staff, and our student-athletes,” said NCCC Athletic Director Chad LaDue. “Their discipline, commitment, and pursuit of excellence have made our entire college community proud.”

The Saints now turn their attention to postseason play as the number one seed in this weekend’s NJCAA Region III Division III tournament, another first for the college’s men’s basketball program. The team will travel to Genesee Community College today and take on #8 seed Hudson Valley Community College in a first-round game on Friday at 5:30 pm.

All tournament games will be streamed live through Genesee Community College Athletics website.

With momentum on their side, the Saints look to continue their historic run and pursue the program’s first regional championship in men’s basketball history.
