President Joe Keegan recently handed off the funds to Homeward Bound board member Amy Tuthill, the college's associate director of recruitment and VA officer.

The raffles, which included tickets to Army football and hockey games, were spearheaded by Kim Duffey, chair of our Business Program.

Homeward Bound Adirondacks offers year-round healing retreats in the Adirondacks for veterans with post-traumatic stress disorder to include equine assisted therapy, hiking, canoeing, bonfires, and team building exercises. It's currently building a retreat center near Lake Titus, south of Malone. The organization also provides transportation to medical and mental health appointments, crisis outreach, referral and linkage services, all at no cost to the veteran.

As part of its Veterans Day support initiative this year, the college also collected scores of items for veteran care packages and coordinated a letter-writing campaign to active duty members of our armed forces.

Thank you to all who donated their time and money to this effort.
