Carrie and Casey Reardon named Commencement Co-Speakers

SARANAC LAKE -- North Country Community College will celebrate the achievements of more than 260 graduates during its 58th Commencement ceremony on Saturday, May 16, marking a major milestone for the Class of 2026 and their families.

The ceremony, set for 11 a.m. in the Sparks Athletic Complex on the college’s Saranac Lake campus, will recognize graduates from across North Country’s academic programs and campuses, honoring the hard work, perseverance and accomplishments that have defined their educational journeys.

Headshots of Carrie and Casey ReardonThis year’s Commencement features co-speakers – Carrie and Casey Reardon – a married Saranac Lake couple who are both proud North Country Community College alumni, employees of Adirondack Health, and have been leaders in their respective fields.
 
Carrie Reardon began her healthcare education at North Country, earning her associate’s degree in nursing before completing a Bachelor of Science in nursing through SUNY Empire State College. She launched her career in critical care and emergency nursing and has spent more than two decades advancing through leadership roles in healthcare.
 
Today, Reardon serves as Chief Nursing Officer and Vice President of Patient Care Services at Adirondack Health, overseeing the quality, safety and operational performance of patient care services across the organization. She has also served as a clinical instructor at the college, published in nursing journals, and earned recognition for her contributions to rural healthcare.
 
Casey Reardon is a graduate of North Country Community College’s Criminal Justice program. A retired sergeant with the Saranac Lake Police Department, he is also a combat veteran of Iraq and Afghanistan, where he served as an infantry squad leader and embedded police mentor. He currently serves as Emergency Preparedness Coordinator and Security Director at Adirondack Health, where he oversees emergency management, security operations and organizational readiness.
 
“Carrie and Casey Reardon represent the very best of what North Country Community College hopes to inspire in its students — leadership, service and a deep commitment to community,” said NCCC President Joe Keegan.  “As alumni who built remarkable careers in healthcare, public safety and emergency preparedness right here in the Adirondacks, they embody the impact a North Country education can have. We are honored to welcome them back to campus to share their experiences and inspire the Class of 2026.”
