» PROGRAM OVERVIEW This collaboration establishes a formal dual admission partnership between North Country Community College (North Country) and SUNY Plattsburgh. Students enrolling in this program will begin their studies at North Country by completing an Associate’s degree, then will seamlessly continue their studies in select programs at SUNY Plattsburgh.

» APPLICATION AND ACCEPTANCE Students applying to this dual admission program will be formally admitted to North Country, and provisionally admitted to SUNY Plattsburgh through the regular North Country application process. To remain in the program, students at North Country will need to complete their Associate’s degree first and then transfer.

» ADVISING AND REGISTRATION Students will follow all of the regular advising and registration processes at North Country up to the point of graduation. During their second year, students will be asked to confirm their intent to enroll at SUNY Plattsburgh at which time SUNY Plattsburgh will designate an admissions/transfer counselor to assist students through the transfer process.

» ADDITIONAL SUPPORT SERVICES: Students who complete their degree and seamlessly transfer from North Country to SUNY Plattsburgh will be assigned registration priority based on their number of earned credits in accordance with SUNY Plattsburgh policy. Students will have the opportunity to work with transfer specialists who will help pave the way to SUNY Plattsburgh, and they’ll also be able to benefit from specialized orientation events.
