Emma Atkinson
Emma's nursing journey began right here as a graduate of the North Country Community
College LPN program in 2016 and the RN program in 2017. She obtained her Bachelor’s
Degree in Nursing Science from Chamberlain University in 2020. Prior nursing experience
includes addiction treatment, long term care, school nursing, medical-surgical nursing,
and in-hospital maternity care; where she has worked for the past five years. Emma
developed a passion for maternal-newborn care, becoming certified in fetal surveillance
and inpatient obstetrics.
In her personal time Emma enjoys her young family with two children, her husband,
their dogs, and her chickens. She keeps bees, gardens, crochets, and loves any activity
the kids can participate in enjoying our Adirondack wilderness.
Emma looks forward to helping educate new nurses at NCCC as she has always loved the
continued learning and teaching that accompanies nursing care.
