North Country is pleased to announce the creation of the Essex and Franklin County Scholars Award starting with the fall 2008 entering class.  Any 2008 graduating public high school senior who is a resident of either Essex or Franklin County and is in the top 20 percent of their class will receive a full two-year tuition scholarship for their full-time attendance at North Country.  This scholarship carries a minimum two year total award of $6,680.

scholarship 08This scholar’s award is recognition of Essex and Franklin Counties’ best and brightest high school graduates.  “The creation of this award will allow these gifted students the opportunity to continue their education in college without the burden of huge student and parent loan debt.  Our secondary goal is to keep these individuals within our two counties and curtail the ‘brain drain’ that has been an ongoing problem.  It is a win-win situation for all involved,” stated North Country President Dr. Gail Roger Rice.  more info...
