Wilderness Rec Students Complete Winter Practicum

Students in the college's Wilderness Recreation Leadership program recently completed their winter practicum in the Adirondacks. The group spent nine days in the Eastern High Peaks, backpacking and learning to navigate and work as a team in colder weather.

NCCC to host Welcoming and Belonging Micro-credential

The Adirondack North Country Association (ANCA) and Adirondack Diversity Initiative (ADI) have announced the launch of a new, fully virtual micro-credential course for North Country businesses and nonprofits committed to making their businesses and workplaces more welcoming and inclusive for diverse staff and clientele. The online Welcoming and Belonging Micro-credential will be offered through North Country Community College (NCCC) starting later this month.

Get hands-on experience with our Massage Therapy program: You’ll have a chance to serve clients from the college and local community in our own student-run massage clinic located on the Saranac Lake campus, as you complete the 150 hours of real-world practice required for state licensure.
