Happy Spring!  We have some great classes for you this semester.  For the kids, we have swimming lessons on Saturday mornings and a new After School Adventure Series for Grades 3-6. 

 

Adult classes include Belly Dancing, Water Aerobics, Water Safety Instructor, Conversational Italian, and African Dance.  You can also receive information about our Adirondack / North Country Quilt Camp that takes place on the Saranac Lake campus this July.  There are quilting classes for all levels. 

 

Many adult wilderness classes are being offered through a new series called Adventure Education.  Some topics include Snowshoe Peak Hike, Backcountry Kitchen, Map & Compass, and GPS.

 

Pre-Licensing driving classes are offered this semester, in addition to Defensive Driving.  Please check out the link to our online catalog below for a complete listing of our Spring offerings.

Computer / Online Courses:

No on-site computer training is currently offered at NCCC.  Please check out our on-line computer courses at www.ed2go.com/northccc.  We now offer over 300 six-week online courses that you can take from your home or office whenever it is convenient for you.  Most courses are just $79 and do not require textbooks!  Feel free to check out the titles below.

Driving Courses:

New York State Pre-Licensing Course

The purpose of this 5-hour class is to education future drivers about safe and efficient driving skills.  Anyone who wishes to take the driver's license road test, but does not posses a blue card, must complete this course.  (*Please read the New York State Driver's Manual before the class) Tuition: $30.00 .  scheduled courses...

 

Defensive Driving

Interested in becoming a better driver?  This six hour course is offered in cooperation with the National Traffic Safety Institute and the approval of the NYS Department of Motor Vehicles.  Successful completion of the course may result in a 10% discount on Collision & Auto Liability Insurance for three years and up to four points off your driving records.  Tuition: $49.00 . scheduled courses...

Holiday Craft Fair:

NCCC's 23rd Holiday Craft Fair is Sunday, November 23, 2008 from 10:00am to 3.30pm at the Sparks Athletic Complex (gymnasium) in Saranac Lake.

 

Adirondack / North Country Quilt Camp:  Quilt Camp 2008 Page

North Country Community College invites you to the Eighteenth Annual Adirondack / North Country Quilt Camp.  This three-day camp focuses on all aspects of quilt making, and classes are available for all levels including Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced quilters.  North Country Community College, located in lovely Saranac Lake, NY, provides a relaxing atmosphere to meet with quilting new and old quilting friends.  Lodging is available in North Country Community College's residence halls and meals are available at the NCCC Cafeteria.  Commuter packages area also available.
