Professional Vacancies:

Enrollment & Financial Aid Counselor (2 Positions):  North Country Community College seeks two full-time, 221 days (twelve months) obligation, Enrollment & Financial Aid Counselors to join the Division of Enrollment Management. These positions offer a unique opportunity to begin a career at an institution that has seen very successful enrollment growth over the past nine years.

 

Responsibilities include traveling & recruiting students in assigned regions through high school visits and college fairs, making presentations to a diverse constituency, interviewing prospective students and families, providing enrollment and financial aid counseling, review of admission applications, review of financial aid applications and awarding, recommending admission decisions and assisting with on and off-campus recruiting events. Other related duties as assigned. Some weekend and evening hours required throughout the year.

 

Qualified candidates must have a minimum of a bachelor's degree, possess excellent oral and written communication skills, exceptional attention to detail and demonstrate a strong record of achievement. Candidates must also possess an in-depth knowledge and appreciation for the mission of North Country Community College. The College’s liberal arts and vocational mission, academic programs, extracurricular activities and educational outcomes. Must have valid driver's license.  Previous experience at a community college, either as a student or employee, is highly desirable.  Anticipated start date of August 25, 2008.
