Where do I go for technology help?
Technical assistance can be received by contacting the help desk helpdesk@nccc.edu or 518-891-2915 ext.314. Typically, questions regarding student portal usage or computer problems can be answered by the helpdesk staff. On campus, individuals can also get technical/computer help at our learning assistance centers.
What can the Help Desk staff help me with?
The Help Desk can assist you with any computer / technical questions that you have related to any College computer services including Webmail, the Student Portal, Student Computers, and the College Wireless Network. The Help Desk staff is also available to assist you with any technical problems you may encounter within Distance Learning courses.
The Help Desk staff are available Monday - Friday from 7:30am - 3:30pm. If you are unable to reach the Help Desk via phone please leave a message or e-mail the staff at helpdesk@nccc.edu and a staff member will contact you as soon as possible.
The Help Desk does not support student's personal computers. Students are responsibe maintaining their own peronal computers, ensuring that their computers meet the College's minimum technical standards, and that their computers are in good working order.
Where do I get a username and password for Webmail and the Student Portal?
You will receive an initial Webmail / Student Portal account access letter the first time you register for a course at NCCC. If you are registered and have not received this letter please contact the Help Desk directly at helpdesk@nccc.eduor 518-891-2915 ext.314.
What do I do if I forgot my password?
If you forgot your password you must contact the Help Desk directly at helpdesk@nccc.eduor 518-891-2915 ext.314 to obtain this information.
