North Country Community College presents the 2nd Annual Regional High School Student Art Show

Thank you to all that submitted student work for the show – it was wonderful to have such quality representing area high schools and we thank your students as well! We are planning the 2018 show already!
North Country Community College announces the 2nd Annual Regional High School Student Art Show is currently open to the public for viewing in the Mezzanine Gallery on the Malone campus at 75 William Street, Malone, NY. Every year high schools within the following counties are invited to submit juried student artwork: Franklin, Essex, Clinton, and St. Lawrence. This year the art on display represents students from the following high schools: Saranac Lake, Tupper Lake, Lake Placid, Ticonderoga, Parishville-Hopkinton, Keene, Elizabethtown-Lewis, Peru Central, and Norwood-Norfolk. “We are very excited to host this regional art show and to see the quality of work that is coming out of our local high schools. I would like to thank Susan Hoffer who has played a pivotal role in the planning and installation of the shows”, states Tina LaMour, Assistant Professor of Art. The College has an associate degree program in fine arts and graphic arts and design. Graduates of the College’s fine arts program often continue on to SUNY Plattsburgh and SUNY Potsdam for their bachelor’s degree.
The artwork will be on display through the closing reception on April 21st when awards will be announced. The public is invited to join the College community and these high school artists for a reception between 3:00-5:00pm on Friday, April 21st. Artwork can be viewed Monday – Thursday from 8am-8pm and Friday from 8am -4pm.
