Malone – Local residents are invited to attend a special ceremony Friday at which North Country Community College will honor students, graduates and employees who have served or are currently serving in the military.
Part of the continuing celebration of NCCC’s 50th anniversary, the Veterans Dedication Ceremony will take place at 3 p.m. Friday, Nov. 10 in the Reshetkina Hall mezzanine at the college’s Tulloch Campus in Malone.
The ceremony will feature remarks by Franklin County Leigslator Paul Lauzon, who is a veteran and an American Legion member, and college President Dr. Steven Tyrell. A new college display board that pays tribute to veterans will be unveiled, and commemorative NCCC 50th anniversary challenge coins will be distributed to veterans in attendance.
Local veterans and their family members, including those who have a connection to the college, are welcome and encouraged to attend.
Refreshments will be served.
