Saranac Lake – A group of retired North Country Community College faculty and staff were welcomed back to the college’s Saranac Lake campus Aug. 28 at a luncheon organized by the North Country Community College Foundation.

Attendees included some of the college’s original employees, dating to its founding in 1967, and several former faculty members who hadn’t visited the college in years.

The group enjoyed each other’s company and a hearty lunch, which was followed by brief remarks from NCCC President Dr. Steve Tyrell. He welcomed the retirees and updated them on the college’s Strategic Plan, the proposed School of Applied Technology in Ticonderoga, and new degree programs that are being planned.

The luncheon was held in the college’s Dining Hall and catered by the NCCC Association’s food service vendor, American Dining Creations.
