All Distance Learning courses at NCCC are hosted within the College's Student Portal .  Students that have not been issued a Username and Password for the Student Portal or who require assistance accessing Distance Learning courses should contact Scott Harwood at sharwood@nccc.edu or 518-891-2915 ext.246 .

NCCC offers a variety of courses each term utilizing a distance learning platform.  Typically, twenty percent of the credit courses offered each term are available via distance learning.  Distance learning courses typically run on a full-term (15 week) schedule starting in September and January of each year.  Some eight week distance learning coures are also offered during the College's summer session.

Full-time and part-time students are eligible to enroll in these classes at normal registration periods or on-line.  A matriculated student who chooses to enroll in an on-line offering, should be cognizant of the following policy regarding graduation requirements:

  • North Country Community College requires students to enroll and successfully complete over 50% of their program requirements on one of its campuses in a traditional classroom, lab or lecture environment. Any exception due to illness, ADA compliance, etc., must be pre-approved by the Vice President of Academic Affairs.
  • It is the College's policy not to offer courses that will meet over 50% of a particular program in a distance - learning arena. Any changes to this policy will be communicated to current and potential students on the college's web site or as an addendum in the Annual Academic Catalog.

General comments or technical issues concerning the Distance Learning platform should be directed to Scott Harwood, Assistant Dean for Institutional Research & Support.
