Certificate in Business: Office Technology (HEGIS 5005)
The certificate in Business: Office Technology is a nine-month program which prepares the student for employment in government and private industry. The emphasis (option) is intended for those students who have at least one unit in keyboarding from high school or Beginning Keyboarding at NCCC. All successfully completed coursework in the Office Technology Certificate Program may be applied to the Business: Office Technology AAS Degree. A minimum of 31 credits with a grade point average of 2.00 is required for graduation.

Three (3) credits of BUS/CIS/OFT electives are required for any student who tested above the OFT 101 Beginning Keyboarding level, first semester. Students entering with one year of high school bookkeeping and/or high school accounting should consider BUS 101 Accounting. Students with no high school bookkeeping and/or accounting should take BUS 154 Small Business Accounting.
