Defining who you are based on your interests, values, skills and past experiences will aid you in identifying realistic educational pursuits and career goals. It's realistic to expect that we work an average of 40 years. Therefore it makes sense to enjoy the career fields you pursue. While financial security is important to many, research supports that salaries increase when people pursue career fields related to their interests, skills and values. Guide yourself and appreciate the role your decision making process has in creating a rewarding life ahead.
