GENERAL EMPLOYMENT INFORMATION

Openings are generally posted here on this website and/or advertised on AEE Jobs Clearinghouse or NOLS JobNet.  Please check these resources for specifics about future position openings.

 

On an annual basis, Adjunct Instructors are hired for the following falll semester courses:

 

REC 240 Wilderness Fall Practicum - Field Instructor for 30-day blocked canoeing and backpacking course.

REC 249 Wilderness Winter Practicum - Field Instructor for 16-day blocked winter expedition course.

 

Instructors are also hired for the following PED courses offered during spring/fall semesters and meeting multiple times over a series of weeks:

 

PED 153 Orienteering

PED 154 Snowshoeing

PED 185 Canoeing

PED 129 Basic Rock Climbing

PED 132 Indoor Rock Climbing

PED 229 Intermediate Rock Climbing

PED 171 Adirondack Hiking

POED 187 Cross Country Skiing

PED 178 Backpacking

Only complete applications will be considered.  All courses are subject to sufficient enrollment.  Typically, hiring for the following semester is completed mid-previous semester.  All WRL Field Instructors for overnight field courses must complete a physical exam and medical information reporting process.  All NCCC employees must complete background check.
