Associates of Applied Science in Human Services (HEGIS 5216)

 

This program is offered for students interested in preparing for work in community and institutional settings in mental health, developmental disabilities, treatment of alcoholism, gerontology, and education.  Students work directly with clients at nearby facilities as part of their course of study.  Many students choose to transfer to Bachelor's Degree programs in human services, education, and social sciences.  Student are required to achieve a 2.0 final grade point average in each HUS designated course in order to progress in the program.

Basic competency courses may be required of students who need to develop learning skills.  A maximum of 6 credits of basic skills courses may be applied toward a degree in the General Electives area.
